The Mehl & Mehl Law Firm was established in 1896 by A.C. Mehl, then followed by his son, W.W. Mehl, followed by his son, R.W. Mehl.  In 1977 attorney J. David Mehl joined the firm and in 1979 attorney Richard L. Mehl also joined the practice.  Ryan D. Mehl, son of J. David Mehl, joined the firm in 2009.  Our law firm has a family history of five generations of attorneys.

Richard L. Mehl, was born in Goshen Indiana, 1951 and graduated from Goshen High School in 1970. He received a bachelor of Science Degree from Ball State University in 1975, and earned his law degree from Indiana University, Indianapolis in 1979. He was admitted to the Indiana Bar in 1979.  Richard was also a member of the fraternity Phi Alpha Delta. He is a current member of the Goshen City Bar (President 1991), Elkhart County, Indiana State and American Bar Associations and the Associations of Trial Lawyers of America.

Ryan D. Mehl, was born in Goshen, Indiana in 1983. Ryan graduated from Goshen High School in 2001 and received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Ball State University in 2005. He graduated from Thomas M. Cooley School of Law in January 2009 and admitted to the Indiana Bar in October 2009. Ryan is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association, Indiana Trial Lawyers Association, and Goshen City Bar Association.  He is a graduate of the Indiana Trial Practice Institute.
